Based near Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, Avon Valley Ferrets is a husband and wife team passionately dedicated to the welfare and wellbeing of ferrets and polecats. We travel to and attend much craft, country and game fairs, summer shows and fetes as well as schools where we perform arena demonstrations on working ferrets, entertain members of the public with fun ferret racing and give educational talks to children. Our main objectives are to educate people and promote all aspects of welfare toward these much maligned and little known about creatures as well as showing the age old traditional method of making and setting nets in regards to rabbit control within the countryside.

Paul and Camilla Pountain,
Avon Valley Ferrets.
Our last show and events season in 2019 was again a resounding success. We received many inquiries which resulted in a large number of bookings, Camilla and I thoroughly enjoyed the events we attended. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gilbertson & Page, the manufacturers of the Dr. John brand of Merlin ferret food for being our sponsors of our show stand for the third year running - a big thank you to all concerned! We have received news from our representative that again for our forthcoming show and events season, the continued support of G&P which is fantastic news indeed! However, in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic we have currently placed on hold any bookings for 2020 and for the beginning of our 2021 season until government restrictions are lifted. We are confirming new bookings and reserving dates for this year - 2021 - as well as re-appearing at some of our regular booked events, however, these will only be if all government guidelines and advice is adhered to for us to be able to perform by all parties. For further details of the events we will be attending, please have a look at our shows & events page of which is now being updated... We hope to see you at some of the events being listed!
P.S. We've added some photo galleries on several of our
website's pages so please take the time to browse them too!
